Abstract

The digital transformation of Islamic banking through BYOND by BSI requires a better understanding of the factors that encourage service usage, particularly among university students. This study examines the effects of ease of use, security, and information quality on the use of BYOND by BSI and investigates the moderating role of religious understanding among students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business at UIN Alauddin Makassar. A quantitative correlational approach was employed. Primary data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 100 students who use BYOND by BSI and analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis with IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The findings indicate that ease of use, security, and information quality each have a positive and significant effect on the use of BYOND by BSI. Religious understanding also strengthens the effects of all three variables on service usage. The research model explains 51% of the variation in BYOND by BSI usage. These findings demonstrate that the adoption of Islamic digital banking services is influenced not only by the technical quality of the service but also by users’ religious understanding.
