HABITUASI PENDIDIKAN AKHLAK DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER SISWA DI SEKOLAH BERBASIS PESANTREN

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of habituation strategies in moral education at MA Nurul Jadid, a boarding school. The main focus of this study is to identify the habituation methods applied in forming the character of students with noble and religious morals. The qualitative approach with the case study method used in this study includes participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, teaching staff, and students, and analysis of curriculum documents and moral education policies. The study results indicate that habituation strategies, such as role models, daily worship habits, and enforcement of educational rules, effectively form student character. Supporting factors include the active role of educators as moral role models, routine religious activities integrated into the curriculum, and a boarding school environment that supports the internalization of moral values. However, there are challenges in maintaining the consistency of moral values amidst differences in student backgrounds and the balance between academic education and character development.
