Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication by another journal.
  • The manuscript is written entirely in English and has been prepared using the latest Jurnal TARBAWI Article Template 2026.
  • The submission file is provided in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • The manuscript follows the required structure and includes an abstract of 180–250 words and 3–5 relevant keywords.
  • All in-text citations and references follow APA Style, 7th Edition, and DOI information is provided where available.
  • All tables and figures are numbered, referred to in the text, and formatted according to the Jurnal TARBAWI Article Template.
  • Complete and accurate author information, institutional affiliation, corresponding author email, and ORCID iD where available have been entered in the OJS metadata.
  • The manuscript includes the required declarations concerning Author Contributions, Funding, and Conflict of Interest, as well as Ethics Approval and Data Availability where applicable.
  • The manuscript file submitted for review does not contain information that may reveal the identity of the author(s), in accordance with the journal’s double-blind peer-review process.
  • Any use of generative artificial intelligence or AI-assisted tools has been disclosed in accordance with the Jurnal TARBAWI Generative AI Policy. AI tools have not been listed as authors.
  • By submitting the manuscript, the author(s) confirm that they have read and agree to comply with the Author Guidelines and the journal’s publication ethics, plagiarism, copyright, licensing, open access, and other applicable policies.

Author Guidelines

Jurnal TARBAWI accepts original scholarly articles that fall within the journal’s aims and scope. Manuscripts must be unpublished and not under consideration by another journal.

Beginning with the September 2026 issue, manuscripts must be written entirely in English and should contain approximately 6,500–8,500 words, including tables, figures, and appendices.

Each manuscript must include an abstract of 180–250 words and 3–5 relevant keywords.

Research articles should generally consist of the following sections: Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations, and References.

The Introduction should clearly present the research problem, relevant recent literature, research gap, novelty or contribution, and research objective(s). The Method should adequately describe the research design, data sources or participants, instruments, data collection, analysis procedures, and ethical considerations where applicable. Results and Discussion should present and critically interpret the findings in relation to relevant theories and previous studies.

All in-text citations and references must follow APA Style, 7th Edition. Authors should prioritize relevant and recent peer-reviewed journal articles. DOI information should be provided where available. The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended.

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, referred to in the text, and presented clearly. Tables should remain editable, while figures should be provided in sufficient resolution for publication.

Authors must provide appropriate declarations regarding author contributions, funding, and conflicts of interest. Acknowledgments, Ethics Approval, and Data Availability should be included where applicable.

All manuscripts will undergo initial editorial screening and, if eligible, a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two reviewers.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Jurnal TARBAWI Online Journal System (OJS) and prepared using the latest official article template.

Authors whose articles are published in Jurnal TARBAWI agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright to their published work.
  2. Authors grant Jurnal TARBAWI the right of first publication. The published work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which permits others to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the original publication in Jurnal TARBAWI is acknowledged.
  3. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work, such as depositing it in an institutional repository or including it in a book, provided that its initial publication in Jurnal TARBAWI is properly acknowledged.
  4. Authors are permitted to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional or personal repositories, provided that the original publication in Jurnal TARBAWI is properly cited and linked.
  5. Copyright for each published article remains with the author(s), while Jurnal TARBAWI retains the right of first publication.
