Open Access Policy
Islamic Communication and Civilization Journal (ICCJ), published by Institut Al Fithrah Surabaya, is committed to providing open and equitable access to scholarly knowledge. ICCJ applies an Open Access Policy, under which all published articles are made freely accessible to readers immediately upon publication through the journal's official website.
The Open Access policy is intended to support the dissemination, exchange, and development of knowledge in the fields of Islamic communication, da‘wah, media and technology, Islamic studies, culture and civilization, communication ethics, humanity, policy and governance, diplomacy, and contemporary religious communication. All readers may access, read, download, and use published articles for legitimate academic, educational, and research purposes without subscription or paywall restrictions, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing provisions stated by the journal.
ICCJ believes that open access to scholarly publications can contribute to:
- Increasing the visibility and accessibility of scholarly works;
- Facilitating academic discussion and collaboration among researchers;
- Supporting students, academics, practitioners, and the wider community in accessing scientific knowledge;
- Encouraging the dissemination of research on Islamic communication and civilization at local, national, and international levels; and
- Strengthening transparent, inclusive, and responsible scholarly communication.
