Abstract

Rapid advancements in the field of artificial intelligence, particularly Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), are causing significant changes in various aspects of higher education, including the design and development of teaching modules. This research aims to identify the relationship between the intensity of GenAI utilization and the quality of the IPAS teaching modules successfully developed by PGSD UNESA students. The research method employed is a quantitative approach involving 40 respondents selected through convenience sampling techniques. The research instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation test with the assistance of SPSS 27 software. The results indicate a significant relationship between the intensity of GenAI usage and the quality of the produced IPAS teaching modules, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.984. This indicates that the increased intensity of GenAI utilization is directly proportional to the improvement in the quality of modules that can be assembled by students. This finding recommends the optimization of GenAI use in the learning context to support students' productivity and efficiency in fulfilling academic tasks. The research results are expected to provide an empirical picture of the use of GenAI in supporting students' academic productivity and to serve as a consideration for the development of learning strategies that integrate technological innovation with the enhancement of independent competencies.
