Efektivitas Pembelajaran Tarkib Dengan Model Pembelajaran Collaborative Learning Menggunakan Aplikasi Quizlet

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Collaborative Learning model assisted by the Quizlet application in improving students’ tarkib (Arabic sentence structure) competence at MAN 3 Palembang. This quantitative research employed a quasi-experimental design to obtain an empirical understanding of the differences in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, pre-tests, and post-tests, and were analyzed using normality tests and the Mann–Whitney U test to determine the significance of the improvement. The findings indicate that prior to the intervention, instruction was dominated by lecture-based methods, resulting in low student participation and uneven comprehension of tarkib material. Following the implementation of Collaborative Learning combined with Quizlet as an interactive practice tool, learning became more collaborative, engaging, and encouraged active involvement in discussions and task completion. Statistical results showed an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the intervention, further supported by an increase in the average post-test score to 98.97. Overall, this study concludes that Collaborative Learning supported by Quizlet is effective in improving students’ mastery of sentence structure, learning motivation, and collaborative skills, and serves as a relevant and sustainable instructional strategy for teaching Arabic.
