Tumpeng sebagai Representasi Etnografi Budaya: Analisis Simbolisme, Strukturalisme, dan Implikasinya dalam Kajian Pendidikan Multikultural di Sekolah Dasar

: Tumpeng is a traditional Indonesian culinary heritage rich in philosophical and symbolic meanings. This study employs a qualitative method through literature review to analyze tumpeng as a system of signs based on Claude Lévi-Strauss's structuralism approach while exploring its implications for multicultural education in elementary schools. The findings reveal that the cone shape of tumpeng symbolizes a mountain as a center of spirituality, while the side dishes represent values of harmony, diversity, and cooperation. As a learning medium, tumpeng has the potential to introduce cultural diversity values, strengthen local identity, and instill the spirit of collaboration. Integrating tumpeng into the multicultural education curriculum supports the preservation of local culture and fosters awareness of the importance of inclusivity in a diverse society. This study contributes to the development of culturally-rooted educational models to address global challenges.
